Security Overview
Effective date: Pending product and security review
P2PSDK is designed around an explicit consent gate, bounded network behavior, and reviewable integration controls. This page describes the intended control model; customer-specific technical documentation is provided during review.
Consent gate
- The integration presents a disclosure before eligible bandwidth sharing begins.
- A declined or withdrawn choice keeps the SDK’s sharing behavior disabled.
- The host app must provide a durable way for users to change their choice.
Network and device controls
- Traffic is intended to run only under configured eligibility and idle conditions.
- Bandwidth is metered and capped; cellular use is disabled by default.
- Integration permissions and network behavior are documented for customer review.
Data boundaries
The SDK is designed not to read personal app content for the purpose of bandwidth sharing. Exact telemetry, identifiers, retention, subprocessors, and security controls must be documented in the customer security package and agreements.
Security review required: publish verified encryption, access-control, logging, vulnerability-management, incident-response, and subprocessor details.
